Visit to Saraswati Aanchal Day Care centre

The students of B.Sc Home Science, III semester visited the day care centre, located in the IIS University campus as a part of their syllabi. A total of 06 students escorted with Archana Kumari, Assistant Professor in the Department of Human Development, Home Science to explore the information regarding organization structure; services provided and other aspects of day care centre.

The resource person, Ms Shally (Supervisor of day care centre) informed the students about principles and services provided by the organization.  As per the information given by her The day care centre was established in 2000, with the objective of taking care of the children of the faculties of the IIS university. Children from outside are also enrolled in the day care centre. Altogether 24 children of different age group stays in the centre. They are given training in toilet habits, eating habits and self care skills. Along with this activities are being organized for the children from time to time.

After getting a brief information from the supervisor of day care centre the students interacted with children. First they build a rapport with the children by playing a game with them and then gathered information from children while talking to them. After compiling all the information a report was prepared by the children.
