Objective: 
This course will enable the students to –
1. Impart knowledge about dyeing and printing techniques on fabrics.
2. Understand the assessment of colour fastness of textiles
3. Impart knowledge regarding pretreatments of fabric before dyeing.
4. Develop and design surface ornamentation by using printing techniques.

CO255:Identify the suitability of various dye class for different fabrics

           • Cotton using direct, reactive, azo,vat, pigment & Natural Dyes 
           • Wool and silk using acid, basic and reactive & Natural Dyes 
           • Acrylic using basic dyes

            • Direct Printing- Pigment colours 
            • Discharge printing- Direct dyes 
            • Resist Printing-Azo dyes
