Advanced Human Development-Practical (Practical)

CO243:Prepare (questionnaire, checklist, observation method) to study developmental at different stages, Plan recreational activities /activities related to various domains of development.

CO244: Write a report on visits to various centers and prepare a questionnaire to assess attitudes and perceptions on parenting, marriage, young adult role satisfaction, and problems of the aged in society.

CO245: Compile comprehensive practical records on prenatal and childhood development activities and cultivate verbal communication skills to converse effectively with examiners

CO246: Contribute effectively in course specific interaction

Unit I: 
CONTENTS
  1. Visit to Hospital - Observation of neonatal reflexes and care of high-risk child in Neonate Intensive care unit.
  2.  Study on Perception of different groups/culture on infant care and development.
  3. Observation and recording all round development of early childhood children (below 6 years of age) using checklist.
  4. Plan the activities related to various domains of development among children.
  5. Survey on Adolescents’ attitude towards Sexuality/Alcoholic and Substance abuse
  6. Visit to Juvenile homes , and old age homes.
  7. Assessing the attitudes of young adults towards single life/ marriage/remarriage using questionnaire.
  8. Survey the perception of men and women on parenting responsibilities.
  9.  Assessment of role satisfaction of middle adults in family and work place.
  10. Assess the problems of the aged in society using suitable method of study.
  11. Organizing recreational activities and counseling activities for the aged (Yoga, lectures etc.,) and report writing.
