Objective: 

This course will enable the students to –

  1. Create awareness of embroidered, dyed and printed textile heritage of India.
  2. Understanding of regional embroideries developed by various communities.
  3. Appreciate the evolution of various textiles over a period of time.

●     Gujarat-Kutch- Kathiawar

●     Punjab-Phulkari.

●     Uttar Pradesh-Chikankari

●     Karnataka-Kasuti.

●     West Bengal-Kantha.

●     Rajasthan –gottapatti

●     Tie & Dye

●     Block Printing

●     Batik           

●     Visit to craft centers and  museum                                  (6 Hours)

  • Product development- Preparation of an article incorporating any Traditional Indian Textile/ Techniques                                  (20 Hours)
