VISIT TO FOOD TECH

 

A visit was organized to 3rd Jaipur Food Tech 2017, for the students of MSc Food & Nutrition as a part of their curriculum on 7th January 2017. It was a National Exhibition cum Vendor Development Programme on Food Processing & Allied Industry being organized by Government of India, Ministry of MSME, MSME- Development Institute, Jaipur on 06,07,08 January 2017 at Jaipur. . The students registered at the reception and took a round of the stalls. There were around 100 stalls related to Processed Food Products, Processed Food Manufacturers/Suppliers, Institutions of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Food Testing & Q.C. Laboratories. The students observed the technologies and stalls with great interest. A lot of queries were also put up by them. They collected information through handouts and brochures. We were even provided with free samples of some foods. Tasting of drinks made using stevia was being done.

 

After visiting the stalls, the students attended the technical seminar organized by them in the seminar hall. The session was on topics role of antioxidants in health and employment and entrepreneurship opportunities in food processing sector. The students gained insight into new information. After the session, students boarded the college bus to come back to the college.
