visit to Gyan Vihar Senior Secondary School, sanganer

A visit to a school, named Gyan Vihar Senior Secondary School, Sanganer, Jaipur was organized for B.Sc Home Science Semester VI students as a part of their syllabi. They visited the university on 27th February, 2016 escorted by one faculty member and reached this centre around 11:30 am with prior information.

We were welcomed by Mr. Prateek Kumar, Care Taker of the school named gyan Vihar Senior Secondary School, Sanganer, Jaipur. The students were directed to sit in a hall having chairs arranged in a circular form. The hall also included a small temple in the center and playing items such as chess and carom board in the corner.  This was followed by a presentation about the school given by Mr. Prateek himself. He told us that Gyan Vidha Mandir Senior Secondary School is a Primary with Upper Primary and Secondary and Higher Secondary School in Sanganer City. It was established in the year 1998 and the school management is Pvt. Unaided. It's a Hindi Medium - Co-educational school.

Gyan Vidha Mandir Sen.sec.sch. has it's own (private) building. The school has total 10 classrooms. The lowest Class is 1 and the highest class in the school is 12. This school has 7 Male Teachers and 18 Female Teachers. There is a library facility available in this school and the total number of books in library is about 250. This school also has a playground. Gyan Vidha Mandir Senior Secondary School does not provide any residential facility. The school does provide meal facility.

It was followed by a workshop in the school campus itself by our students of the IIS University to the teachers and children of Gyan Vidhya Mandir Senior Secondary School. The topics covered by all the students were Immunization, Vitamin A deficiency, Iron Deficiency Anemia, Benefits of Breast feeding, Iron Rich Foods, Vitamin A Rich Foods, Food Pyramid and Balanced Diets, Benefits of Toilet Facilities. They prepared charts and posters with appropriate and attractive matter. Finally, the visit came to an end around 1:00 p.m. with a motto of thanks given by the students.
