Guest Lecture on Career Opportunities in Human Development

The guest lecture was organized by the Department of Home Science(Human Development) on career opportunities by Dr. Ritu Dak on 10^th July 2018 to orient students on scope of Human development.

Dr. Ritu Dak is the director of Vidhyashram Public School, Jaipur. She is in the school from 2011 till date. Earlier she worked as an Adhoc lecturer in Jainarayan Vyas University Jodhpur for 2 years.

She was also the director of campus nursery school, University of Rajasthan for 4 years.she has attended various workshop and has also published her work in various reputed journals. She ha s worked as a resource person in a project entitled “Standardisation of Assessment checklist for preschool children”

She has focused on career opportunities of Human Development. The students can become Family Life Educators work with families of diverse backgrounds on such issues as financial planning, education, work-family issues, parenting, sexuality, gender, and more. Students who complete the Early Childhood Development and Education Concentration are qualified, upon graduation to receive the State of Connecticut Early Childhood Teaching Credential. Students can  take a position as a head teacher in a preschool, or infant/toddler classroom.

The students can also become  policy makers, public administration, or policy analysis, including work as an attorney, human rights advocate, legislative aide/researcher, policy analyst and researcher and related positions. They can also become counsellors and special educators also.

The guest lecture turned out to be very useful for all the students as they came to know about the various opportunities available in Human Development.
