The students will be able to –

 

CLO253: Develop skills in preparing appropriate therapeutic diets and calculate the nutrient content of diets prepared

CLO254: Acquire professional diet counselling skills

CLO255: Recommend personalized diets for various disease conditions and  assess patient’s compliance

Planning, preparation and service of diets for the following:

Therapeutic Diets – Normal, Soft, Clear and full fluid

i. Fevers: acute and chronic

ii. Obesity

iii. Type 2 Diabetes

iv. Hypertension and CHD

v. Diarrhoea

vi.Constipation

vii. Hepatitis

viii.Lactose Intolerance and Celiac Disease

v. Survey therapeutic foods in market
