Objective:

This course will enable the students to –

  1. Impart knowledge about dyeing and printing techniques on fabrics.
  2. Understand various techniques of textile finishes.
  3. Impart knowledge of basic processing of textiles.
  4. Impart knowledge of eco-friendly processing in textiles.

  • Mechanical finishes- Sizing, Singeing, Mercerization, Napping, Embossing, Calendaring,
  • Functional finishes- Wrinkle resistant, Water-resistant and repellent, Flame Retardant, Soil & Stain Release, Mothproof and Anti-static.
