Programmes to Enhance Food Production

Thrust on agriculture, national food production programme ever since independence

  • Intensive production schemes- IADP,IAAP,HYV,Multiple cooking,ICDP,NDP,NDDB,MFALA,SFDA,DPAP,SDP,IFP,PDP in the field of cereal crops, pulses, fruits and other than agriculture: fisheries and dairy
  • Concept of Green Blue,White,Yellow,Golden Revolution

Poverty Alleviation Effort
  • Programmes for poverty alleviation for rural and urban areas; employment generation and social inputs
  • Current programmes for rural and urban poor (including 5 years plans till date)
  • NREGA (Mahatama Gandhi nationl rural employment Generation act ): Self Help group: Swranjyanti Gram Swarojgar Yojyana: Pradhan Mantri Gramodaya Yojana : Swaran Jayanti, Shri Rojgar Yojana : National Food for Work Programme
