Objective: 

Course Objectives (COs):

This course will enable the students to –

  1. Impart the knowledge about fiber identification and fabric study.
  2. Impart knowledge about different fiber, yarns and fabrics along with their properties.
  3. Enable students to understand fabric structures and their analysis.
  4. Identify different kinds of fabrics composition and weave.

• Yarn Identification–Single, ply, cord, textured, elastic, monofilament,            10 hrs
            multifilament and spun yarn  
• Yarn Twist- S & Z Twist

• Weaves- Identification and their design interpretation on graph                       12 hrs
& preparation of basic weaves sample on paper & loom
