Objective: 

Course Objectives (COs):

This course will enable the students to –

  1. Create awareness of embroidered, dyed and printed textile heritage of India.
  2. Initiate identification of regional embroideries developed by various communities.
  3. Learn about the evolution of various textiles over a period of time.

Indian Textile Heritage

(Practical)

 

 

 

 

The students will be able to -

CO313: Develop skills of motifs creation design identification and preparation of embroideries

 

CO314: Recognize and create the design effects in textile masterpieces of the world

 

CO315: Develop traditional embroideries samples and explore various crafts of India

 

CO316: Identify various embroidery styles of different states on the basis of colours, motifs, layouts

  • Preparation of an article incorporating any Traditional Indian Textile/ Techniques                                                                                          20 hrs
