Objective: 

This course will enable the students to –

  1. Understand the various forms of family that exist in the contemporary Indian context.
  2. Understand the various roles shared by the members in a family and familial relationships.
  3. Understand family by drawing a three generational family tree.
  4. Evaluate the family as a functioning Unit.

Inclusive Education-Practical (Practical)

CO253: Plan informative material about concessions, facilities, and provisions for inclusive children. Assess one policy, act, or program for disabled education in India.

CO254: Prepare a lesson plan for a school subject using inclusive strategies. Analyze curriculum issues for CWSN. Plan a community awareness program for CWSN inclusion in schools.

CO255:Compile comprehensive practical records on disabled children and cultivate verbal communication skills to converse effectively with examiners

CO256: Contribute effectively in course specific interaction.

Approach in teaching:

Field trip, Team teaching, quiz

Unit I: 
CONTENTS

●        To plan the measures in order to overcome the issues related to the curriculum of CWSN.

●        Enlist the socio-cultural factors influencing disability

●        Make a informative material for the concessions, facilities and provisions for inclusive children.

●        Assess any one the policies, act and programmes for the education of the disabled in the Indian context.

●        Substantiate how the policy recommendations are beneficial for people with disability.

●        Visit Special Schools

●        Community Involvement for Inclusion of any two Disabilities & an Inclusive school & write observation report highlighting pedagogy

●        Prepare a Checklist for Accessibility in Mainstream Schools for Children with Disabilities

●         Design a Poster on Inclusive Education

  •  Prepare a Lesson Plan on any one School subject of your choice using any one Inclusive Academic Instructional Strategy
