Objective:

This course will enable the students to –

  1. Understand all round developmental changes and impact during adolescence
  2. Remember  the problems of similar age groups
  3. Analyze the sexuality issues
  4. Compare the developmental changes during adulthood
  5. Understand the hazards of adolescence and adulthood

The students will be able to –

CO134:Develop  the interview schedule and questionnaire  for adolescents and adults

CO135:Create the recreational activity for adolescent and adult.

CO136:Construct an awareness among adolescent and adult regarding issues and health concerns

CO137:Assess the self, family and peer relationships using case study method.

CONTENTS

  • Planning and preparing leisure time activities for adolescents
  • Planning a counseling programme for adolescents/children and their parents
  • Conducting SWOT analysis for adolescents.
  • Focus group discussion with adolescents to understand their aspirations, educational and career choices, physical and psychological changes, and their impact on them.
  • Familiarity with Psychological Tests of Intelligence and Personality.
  • Case profile to study adolescents including the  study of self, family,  and peer relationships
  • Plan interview schedule to understand challenges faced by young adults.
  • To understand the expectations and limitations of middle adulthood and assess job satisfaction in working middle-aged adults.
  • To understand the mental and physical health problems of old persons and assess life satisfaction during old age using the interview method.
  • Planning and preparing a recreational activity for old people
