Objective: 

Course Objectives:

This course will enable the students to –

  1. Understand the basic terms and methods used in cooking.
  2. Understand various food preparations and the principles involved in food preparations.
  3. Understand knowledge regarding the portion size and nutritional quality of food product.

The students will be able to –

 

CO7: Develop an understanding about the methods of preparing food.

CO8: Apply principles of menu planning and food presentation.

CO9: Modify recipe/formulation for specific purposes, such as nutrient enhancement and quality improvement
