Objective: 

This course will enable the students to –

  1. Enhance their knowledge of basic sketching of the garment components.
  2. Focuses on design details, creation of styles and rendering using the different media
  3. Enable students to transfer the complete idea of design (colour, texture, silhouette and technique) on paper.
  4. Gain knowledge about the elements of art and principles of design applied in different area.

CO123: Create garment components and their different types and enhance their rendering skills using different colour mediums

CO124: Interpret elements and principles of design from print/visual and evaluate readymade garments on the bases of their quality, availability, variety, fabrics used and cost

CO125: Compile comprehensive practical record having flat sketches of various garment components, collection of various fashion designers and cultivate communication skills to converse effectively with examiners

  • Flat sketching of garment components: collar, sleeves, necklines, princess line, pockets, yokes, Silhouettes, Dresses, Tops, Trousers and skirts                                                                                                                  (20 Hours)

  • Mediums and its application on Textiles and Apparels                                                                                                                                          (14 Hours)
