Objective: 

This course will enable the students to –

  1. Create a conducive and child centered learning environment for young children based on education philosophies of western and Indian thinkers
  2. Acquire skills in observing and documenting the developmental needs of children
  3. Apply knowledge of ECCE policies to design and implement effective programs that address t   he needs of diverse learners.
  4. Develop skills in analyzing, interpreting, and contributing to policy discussions and debates

CO17 : Design a NCF based ECCE lesson plan, informative materials related to rights of children and acts or policies to protect those rights and prepare activities based on western or Bhartiya thinkers

CO18: Prepare a case study of the child in need of care & protection,  situation analysis report on any issues related to children and comparative report of facilities available in various ECE centers.

CO19: Compile comprehensive practical records  by incorporating needs & rights of children, and provision of  policies, schemes, and programs to cater those needs and protect the rights of children  and cultivate verbal communication skills to converse effectively with examiners

CO20: Contribute effectively in course specific interaction

Self Learning, Assignments, preparation of materials for early stimulation & intervention

CONTENTS

Visits to various early childhood centers: Day Care center, Anganwadi, crèche and Montessori and NGO run preschool etc. Write Report of the visit.

Interact with your neighborhood children about their needs and enlist their responses according to the categories of needs.

Plan and conduct any two activities in an ECCE setting applying the education philosophy of Froebel/Vivekanandji/Ravindra Nath Tagore/John Dewey

Prepare informative materials on any one Act or policy related to children.

Based on NCF, 2020, design an ECCE Lesson plan, progression of FLN

Prepare a case study of a child in need of care & Protection and suggest the support they can get through programs and schemes run by Government of India.

Analyse any one issue (street children/child abuse/Delinquents and Destitute Children/Child marriage/Child trafficking/child labour) related to children with the help of secondary data from authentic sources.
