The students will be able to –

COCT80:Apply various techniques of draping to develop a product

COCT81:Create basic bodice block, skirt and torso using various draping techniques

COCT82:Design & develop various garments

COCT83:Design & develop skirts with adaptation  techniques

COCT84:Create samples using dart manipulation techniques

    CONTENTS

 Pattern development through draping: (Woven and Knitted)                                   

 

  Design variation:

  • Basic Bodice & its adaptation to tops for the following                             20 hrs   
  • Manipulating dart excess at different locations
  • Dividing dart excess- Waist & side seam,  waist & shoulder
  • Dart equivalents – Gathers, pleats and tuck darts
  • Asymmetrical darts
