This course would enable the students to -
1.Measuring development in children : physical, motor, cognitive, socio- emotional, creativity- studying various developments of a child through observation, interviews, questionnaire, case study , projective techniques (CAT).
Graphical representation and interpretation of Height, weight measurements of pre school child.
2. To visit selected welfare institutions catering to the needs of children –ECE centres, anganwadis, crèches, day care and brief reporting of-
a. Physical set up
b. Objectives
c. Teaching strategies
d. Positive and negative aspects
e. Suggestions for Improvement
3. Report on survey of child rearing method prevailing in 5 families.
4. Counseling parents for various behavior problems in children.
5. Concept formulation- Concept of relationships (Shape,Size, Weight, time, Colour ) ,Pre reading and pre writing skills of pre school children.
