Objective: 

This course will enable the student to apply the theoretical concepts on laboratory practices.
 

Major experiment- volumetric analysis: (any two)

  1. Determination of acetic acid in commercial vinegar using NaOH
  2. Estimation of total hardness of water by EDTA.
  3. Determination of ferrous by dichromate method.

Minor Experiments- Preparations (any three)

  1.  Preparation of soaps, detergents
  2.  Preparation of antiseptic-  Iodoform,
  3.  Preparation of anti  analgesic -  Aspirin

Demonstration exercise-
To find out pH of different solutions by pHmeter instrument and pH paper. Preparation of Buffer solutions.( carbonate buffer)
