Objective: 

This course will enable the students

  • Understand concept of cell division
  • Learn about garden operations                                                           

 

Contents:

 

  1. Study of  mushroom cultivation
  2. Study of  economic importance of angiosperms.
  3. Study of  cell division by mitosis in onion root tip.
  4. Study of  meiosis in onion flower bud.
  5. Demonstration of different garden operations.
  6. Determination of blood groups.
  7. Determination of haemoglobin percentage.
  8. Study of life cycle of honey bee and termite.
  9. Study of museum specimens:
  •       Protozoans- Paramaecium, Protozoa, Entamoeba.
  •       Helminthes,- Ascaris (male, female), Taenia.
  •       Insect- Cockroach, mosquito, housefly.
  •       Mollusc- pearl oysters.
