Objective: 

This course will enable the students                           

  • To acquaint students with the techniques and skills of pattern drafting.
  • To give basic knowledge of constructional techniques.

Development and identification of:                                                                              16 Hrs

Seams: plain, french, counter, flat fell

Plackets : one piece & two piece

Fasteners: Hook & eye, Buttons & Button holes, Press buttons, Velcro

Edge finishing (binding, facing), pleats and gathers

 

 

Development of Paper pattern of basic bodice, skirt and various sleeves( plain, puff, flared, & kimono)  and collars ( peter pan, cape, convertible & shirt collar)                          14 Hrs

 

 

Develop style variations in adult bodice using dart manipulation on half scale standard   Block                                                                                                                            10 Hrs
