Course Objectives:
This course will enable the students to –
1. Understand the biochemical role of vitamins and minerals and their disorders and imbalances.
2. Understand toxicity in the body and role of antioxidants in detoxification of the body.

The students will be able to – COFN 32: Demonstrate the biochemistry of DNA and RNA and the metabolism of purine and pyrimidine metabolism and their management. COFN 33:Show skills in planning the diets as to consider the biochemical functions of various micronutrients. COFN 34:Detoxification of various compounds and the knowledge of xenobiotics and its practical application for the management of various diseases. |
