Report – Participation in recipe competition at Mahatma Gandhi Medical college & Hospital
National Nutrition Week 2018
The students of Department of Home Science have participated in a Recipe making competition “Iron rich recipe” organized on September, 6th 2016 on the occasion of National Nutrition Week by the Dietetics Department of Mahatma Gandhi Medical college & Hospital, Jaipur. A total of 16 students have participated in the activity. The students of M Sc H Sc (Foods and Nutrition) Sem I and Sem III and B Sc CND electives Sem III and Sem V have participated in the competition. Other participants were from the Mahatma Gandhi Medical college & hospital itself. In total there were 25 entries. All the recipes were judged by 3 judges from different departments of Fortis Hospital, Jaipur and one of the judge was IDA President, Jaipur Chapter.. The nutritive value, overall presentation and the cooking skills were evaluated by the judges. All the recipes, presentation and the cooking skills of the participants were highly appreciated by all the Judges. The participation certificates were given to all the participants and the prizes were given to first three winners. The first and second prize was bagged away by our students. Also, the appreciation award was give to 2 students. Aparna Keshri (M Sc H Sc Foods and Nutrition Sem I) was the first prize winner and Ms Noyoinka Banerjee (M Sc H Sc Foods and Nutrition Sem I) has bagged the second prize. Priyanka Arora (M Sc H Sc Foods and Nutrition Sem I) has won third prize and Ms Tanushree (M Sc H Sc Foods and Nutrition Sem I) & Ms Monika Mainani (B Sc CND electives Sem III) have won appreciation awards.
