Guest lecture on career perspective in Public Nutrition

Orientation Programme for the postgraduate students was organized on 13th July 2017, for the students of B.Sc (H) Home Science. Dr Molshree Rathore, Project Manager, Poshan, Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition  (GAIN),Jaipur was called to orient them. She has discussed about the “Career perspective in Public Nutrition”. She has 11 years of experience in planning & conducting nutritional programmes to assist in the promotion of health.

As she has worked closely with the government departments, she has discussed about the career opportunities on public nutrition. She explained that the students can start with minor projects of the government and later they gradually move on to higher positions. They can take the projects of ICDS, Mid day Meal, UNICEF, GAIN projects etc. She has focussed the need of community level nutritionists in our country, scope & opportunities in community nutrition, which will actually help our students in their upcoming endeavours. She has given deep insight of the opportunities in the field of Public Nutrition. Overall it was a very enlightening & fruitful lecture.
