GUEST LECTURE: CAREER OPPORTUNITIES IN HOME SCIENCE

A guest lecture on the topic ‘Career Opportunities in Home Science’ was organised in Department of Home Science on  17 March 2016. The Speaker for the same was Dr Veenu Seth, Retd Associate Professor Lady Irwin College, New Delhi. Ma’am has a vast experience in filed of Home Science and her specialization is Foods and Nutrition. The lecture was quiet descriptive with detailed information about career opportunities in various fields of Home Science ie Foods and Nutrition, Human Development, Clothing and Textiles, Home Management and Extension Education. Through the lecture students were enlightened about the fact that Home Science no more bears a tag of being limited to Homes is a professional course with better career opportunities and good placements.
