CELEBRATION OF INTERNATIONAL LITERACY DAY

Venue: Mahatma Gandhi Government School, Haziyawala , Sanganer City, Jaipur

On the occasion of International Literacy Day a Quiz Competition “Knowledge Knockdown” was organized for the students of class VII and VIII of Mahatma Gandhi Government School Haziyawala. The planning and implementation of the activity was done by 10 students of M. Sc. Home Science (Human Development), Sem I and III and B.Sc. (H) H. Sc. Sem V. A total of 68 students from class VIIth and VIIIth participated in the competition. The quiz was divided into three rounds namely selection round, semi-final and final round. All the participants and audience took part enthusiastically and enjoyed thoroughly. A creatively planned visit proved to be a great learning experience for children as well as for the students. The winner team was awarded with trophies and the first runner up team was also presented with a consolation prize. The students from the audience were also given a token of appreciation for answering the audience polls correctly. To wrap up the activity, chocolates were distributed among all. The purpose of the visit was satisfactorily achieved. The cooperation of the school Principal, Staff and Students was praiseworthy.
