GUEST LECTURE ON ‘WELL WOMEN BEING’

The department of Home science in collaboration with HCG Hospital, Jaipur organized a guest lecture on the occasion of International Women’s Day on the topic ‘Well Women Being’. The speaker was Dr Mridula Gehlot, Sr. Consultant- Gynae Oncology. Students of B.Sc (Hons) HSc and B.Sc. (PC) electives attended the lecture.

The students enthusiastically attended the lecture in large numbers. The guests were greeted with a memento and bouquet. After that, a brief introduction about the speaker was given by one of the students.  

Dr. Gehlot touched the various aspects of women’s health like anemia, osteoporosis, PCOD, menopause, obesity etc. she discussed the reasons and complications of these problems on the health of females. Then she emphasized on the importance of ideal body weight and diet in the health of females. The lecture was followed by a question answer session. Students asked many questions and Dr Gehlot patiently answered their queries. It was a learning experience for the students.
