Demonstration of Fashion Illustrations

The Department of Home Science conducted an activity for students of B.Sc. Home Science on “Fashion Illustration” on 24.0782018 in A 402. The resource person for the same was Ms.

Kavita Chawala, Designer, Jaipur.

 The demonstration focussed on Fashion Illustration using water colour, poster colour, oil paint and fabric colour. She created different designs on cartridge sheets. She demonstrates how to make fashion figures which are the basic fashion figures which forms the bases of fashion designing. She also discussed various types of motifs like stylized, geometrical with various colors schemes like monochromatic, dichromatic, complementary etc.

She also shared sheets made by her with students, so the students get an idea and can create & develop various designs. They also enjoyed the demonstration and tried to make different designs using oil paint, poster and fabric colours. The students showed their keen interest by active participation in the activity. This demonstration was very fruitful for the students as it helped them to create their own sheets with innovative style. Approximately sixteen students participated in the demonstration.
