Objective: 

This course will enable the students to :

  1. To develop an understanding of child rights, constitutional provisions and legislations with reference to children in India
  2.  To acquire knowledge of prevalent Acts,  policies and programmes for children and women
  3.  To engage with the linkages between social policy, legislations and implementation of schemes and programmes.

  2. Issues and Challenges  related to children- Street children, Juvenile Deliquency, Child Marriage, Child Labour, Child abuse
  3. Changing philosophy and concepts of programs for children from Welfare Approach to Right Based Approach.
  4. Rights of the child (UNCRC)
  5. CARA (Central Adoption Resource Agency) & SARA (State Adoption Resource Agency) Guidelines
