This course will enable the students to-
- Plan diet for an individual at different age, under different physiological conditions and different diseases.
Contents:
- Use of exchange list.
- Standardization of dishes.
- Planning and preparing nutrient rich dishes.
- Planning, preparation and serving of meals for preschool child, school age child, adolescent, adult, old age person, pregnant lady and lactating mother.
- Planning, preparation and serving of meals for patients suffering from diarrhea, constipation, Peptic Ulcer hepatitis, overweight, underweight, typhoid and tuberculosis
- Planning and preparation of nutrient dense snack / beverage.
