Objective: 

 

The course will enable the student to -

1.      Understand importance of childhood years.

2.      Understand about various development in childhood.

3.      Understand psychology and  its application in child development.

4.      Know various types of early childhood education program.

  1. Multilingualism, handedness.
  2. Parenting in childhood, disciplinary practices and their influence on personality.

  2. Behavioral problems in  children-Definition, causes , prevention and modification therapies  - hurting other children, destructive attitude, using abusive language, thumb  sucking, bedwetting, masturbation, refusal to eat, lying, stealing, running away, pica, truancy.
