This course will enable the students to :

The students will–

 

CO33: Formulate the goals and develop the action plan for conduction of counselling sessions.

CO34: Construct the genogram and develop the case history.

CO35: Select the appropriate psychometric tools to assess the need of the client.

CO36: Design and develop theme related brochure and pamphlet for guidance and counselling

Approach in teaching: Discussion, Demonstration, projects

 

Learning activities for the students:

Hands-on activities, Field visits, Mock session, Conduction of psychometric tests

Class test, Semester end examinations, Quiz, Solving problems in tutorials, Assignments, Presentation, Individual and group projects

 

1. Case study of a Child with special needs/children in need of care and protection
2. Interviewing parents to identify difficulties in rearing children with special need.
3. Preparing educational/informational material for children with special needs
4. Visits to institutions dealing with Children with special needs/ children in need of care and protection -Preparing a blue print
5. Planning counseling session for the family having Children with special needs
