Objective: 

This course will enable the students to :

  1. Develop awareness regarding status of women in India and sensitivity to women’s issues and concerns.
  2. Understand theoretical and Methodological concerns related to women’s studies.
  3. To understand the children problems.
  4. To give information regarding welfare agencies for women & children.
  5. To be aware of issues and concerns related to situation of women with specific references to the Indian context

COHD101: Examine the rights of children and different types of challenges faced by them

COHD102:  Examine various programmes and policies and legislations for children and develop plan for upgradation of their status.

COHD103: . Analyze the present situation of women and children in the country.COHD104: Evaluate provisions given in various programmes, policies and legislations for women and develop a plan for empowering women.

COHD105: Judge various national and international organizations working for children

COHD106: Contribute effectively in course specific interaction

 

Approaches in Teaching:  Interactive Lectures, Mock Activity, Power Point Presentation, Discussion with lectures.

 

 

Learning activities for the Students:

Self learning assignments, Review research studies recognizing role of women.

Quiz. PPT, Group projects, assignments, CA test , Semester End Examination.

 

Case study method, documentary movies, newspaper article review, objective questions and written test will be conducted to execute the learning outcome
