Poster Making Competition for International Literacy Day [1]

The Department of Home Science of IIS (Deemed to be University) organized a Poster Making Competition at Sumernagar Upper Primary Government School to celebrate International Literacy Day on September 8th, 2024. The theme of the competition was "Importance of Swachhata in Life," emphasizing the significance of cleanliness and hygiene in daily living.

A total of 69 students of the school participated in the competition, creatively expressing their thoughts on cleanliness through vibrant posters. 6 students of B.Sc (H) H. Sc, sem I, III, & V, M. Sc (HD) sem II organized and coordinated the activity, The posters highlighted various aspects of hygiene, including personal cleanliness, environmental sanitation, and waste management. Faculty members and school teachers evaluated the posters based on creativity, originality, and alignment with the theme. The competition successfully engaged students in understanding the importance of maintaining cleanliness for a healthier life. The best posters were recognized and awarded.

The initiative not only encouraged artistic expression but also reinforced the vital message of Swachhata, making it a meaningful celebration of International Literacy Day.
