Objective: 
  1. To focus on design details, creation of styles and rendering techniques using different  colour mediums.
  1. To enhance the creative skills of drawing, sketching and rendering colours for designing garments and accessories based on themes.
  2. To provide the details about importance of portfolio in fashion field.
  3. To develop the creativity in creating designs for various textures and prints to suit the figures and sizes.

COCT59: Create designs, fashion illustrations, theme based designing, garment components and accessories designs and adapt their artistic abilities to support their future design careers.

COCT60: Develop skills in drawing, editing and transformation through digital software

COCT61:Compile comprehensive practical record having Fashion Illustration/ Designing according to figure type/ Theme based/garment components manually and with CAD and cultivate communication skills to converse effectively with examiners

CONTENTS

Prepare a portfolio through manual and CAD (Photoshop & Corel Draw) sketching for fashion illustration.   

  • Sketching garment & garment details – Pockets, waist bands, cuffs, sleeves, collars, necklines, skirts, trousers & coats/ jackets                         
  • Studying Anatomy. Stick figure, Fleshing and Skin rendering of 10 ½ head female croqui with different possess (Front, Back & Side view) Theme Rendering – Developing a line of garment & accessories based on theme and fabrics selected for:                                                                                                                                                                               (30 Hours)
  • Casual wear                   
  • Sportswear
  • Bridal wear
  • Evening wear
  • Executive (Business wear)
  • Night wear
  • Beach wear
  • Winter wear
  • Traditional wear
  • Different figure size/types – Sketching designs for various textures and prints to suit the figures and sizes.                                                                                                                                                           (25 Hours)
  •   Sketch the various fashion accessories Belts, Footwear’s, Bags and Jewellery.
