Objective: 
This course will enable the student 
• To be acquainted with status of women in family  & society
• Understand how various factors influence the health & nutritional status of women
• Understand how health  of women influence family, community & national development

On completion of this course, the student will be able to: 

CO 24: Assess the status of women in family and society and the role of women in National development.

CO25: Examine the nutritional requirements of women through lifecycle and the special care needed during certain physiological conditions.

CO26: Critically evaluate the role of education in empowering women and the role of family, community and National development in womens’ health.

CO27: Distinguish various policies and legislations for women.

Approach in teaching:

Demonstrations, Laboratory exercises, Discussionsand interaction with chefs and cooks
