Objective: 
This course will enable the students to –
1. Impart knowledge about dyeing and printing techniques on fabrics.
2. Understand various techniques of textile finishes. 
3. Impart knowledge of basic processing of textiles.
4. Impart knowledge of eco friendly processing in textiles.

• Styles of printing – direct, discharge, resist, dyed 
• Fixation of prints: Ageing, Steaming, Baking, Wet development 
• Washing of printed goods

• Mechanical finishes- Sizing, Singeing, Mercerization, Napping, Embossing, Calendaring, 
• Functional finishes- Wrinkle resistant, Water-resistant and repellent, Flame Retardant, Soil & Stain Release, Mothproof and Anti static.
