Objective: 
Course Objectives (COs): 
This course will enable the students to –
 
1. Study origin and theories of clothing.
2. Impart the knowledge of psychological and social aspect of clothing in social situation
3. Gain knowledge about design process followed by designers for creating a collection of garments.
4. Equip students with knowledge of various garment components and apply them in their own designing.

Fashion Design Concept

The students will be able to –

CO144: Develop understanding of garment components and their application in clothing

 

CO145: Appraise the work of National and International fashion designers

 

CO146: Select various elements and principles of textile design and their application in clothing

 

 

CO147: Develop concept to identify the flow of fashion movement

 

CO148: Develop understanding of role of fashion designers in fashion industry
