COCT53: Create basic blocks like, bodice, skirt and torso using draping method

 

COCT54: Develop various styles in bodice and skirts with adaptation techniques

 

COCT55: To design a garment with draping method

Unit I: 
Course Content:

Pattern development through draping: (Woven and Knitted)                                   

Design variation:

 a)  Basic Bodice & its adaptation to tops for the following:                                                                                          20 Hrs   

  1. Manipulating dart excess at different locations
  2. Dividing dart excess- Waist & side seam,  waist & shoulder
  3. Dart equivalents – Gathers, pleats and tuck darts
  4. Asymmetrical darts

 

  b)  Skirt & its adaptation:                                         20Hrs

  1. A-Line
  2. Flared
  3. Panel
  4. Gathered
  5. Pleated
  6. Stylized yoke with flare, gathers & pleats
  7. Peplums & Godets

 

 c)  Garment Designing:                                                                                                                                                                 20 Hrs
