1. Understand the significance of research methodology in Home Science.
2. Understand the types, tools and methods of research
3. Develop the ability to construct data gathering instruments appropriate to the research design

Student will be able to –

 

COHD42: Develop understanding on various kinds of research, objectives of doing research, research process, research designs and sampling.

COHD43: Describe qualitative and quantitative research techniques

COHD44: Develop skills on measurement & scaling techniques as well as the quantitative data analysis

COHD45: Analyse data for hypothesis testing procedures and report writing.

 

Approaches in Teaching:  Interactive Lectures, Brain storming sessions, Power Point Presentation, Discussion on Planning the research , Methodology and tools Data reduction, analysis assignments, quiz, MCQs, Preparing a list of references 71 and representation

Presentation on research approaches and research designs,Self learning assignments, field practicals.
