Molecular weight, Equivalent weight, Avogadro’s number, Mole concept, Normality, Molarity

Volumetric analysis

Titration,Types of titration(brief idea),  end point, indicators, definition and basic idea of pH,buffer

Unit IV: 
Water

Sources of water, soft and hard water, types of hardness, method of remove hardness-Lime soda methods (hot and cold), zeolite process

Unit V: 
Corrosion

Corrosion of metals-atmospheric, electrochemical; the rusting of iron and steel;
Prevention and control of corrosion-protective coatings and linings; care of house hold metals -cleaning, polishing-metal polish
