This course will enable the students to:

  • obtain harmony between pattern and design of the garment.
  • develop skill in garment construction.

Adaptations of bodice and incorporation of sleeves & collars in following garments

a. Child`s

  • Yoked frock with gathers/ Pleats/ Flare/
  • A - Line Frock with pleats

b. Boy's - 

  • Bush Shirt
  • Shorts

c. Women's

  • Drafting of adult bodice block & its adaptation to      
  • Skirt Top
  • Saree Blouse,
  • Ladies Kameez/ Kurta,
  • Churidaar/ Salwar

2. Construction of a :

  • Child`s- A-Line Frock
  • Men`s- Bush Shirt
  • Women`s- Kurta/ Kameej/ Top
